A position has become available for one (or two*) part time “front of house” supervisor to join the team at Childrey Stores from June 2019. 

The post(s) is for 3 days a week as follows;

  • Tuesday & Wednesday (9am-3pm)
  • Friday (7am-6pm)

In addition, the successful applicant will be expected to work one weekend a month Saturday 7am-1.30pm, Sunday 8am-12.30pm

(*Depending on availability it may be possible for this vacancy to be filled by two new members of staff)


Experience within the retail and coffee shop sector is essential. Previous experience as a trained barista is preferred and training will be offered on the Childrey Stores coffee machine.

We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic about joining our lovely independent coffee shop and who understand how to deliver excellent customer service in a busy environment.

The successful applicant should be friendly, confident, organised and comfortable dealing with the wide range of customers who visit our shop. It is also important that you enjoy working as part of a small team within a village community.

The successful candidate should be familiar with a range of technology (both Apple and PC) and be able to use EPOS software at the till.
